Kar Medical College, Calcutta, followed by an MS in General Surgery from BLDEA Medical College, Karnataka University. He then pursued his DNB in Urology from Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. His commitment to excellence led him to the United States, where he completed an Advanced Fellowship in Endourology and Robotic Surgery at the Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida.

He is known for his expertise in High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for prostate cancer treatment, which he studied at Doctors Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas. Dr. Sabharwal's clinical interests include the management of urological cancers and he has extensive experience in performing robotic surgeries. Currently, Dr. Sabharwal practices at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in Sarita Vihar, Delhi, where he offers a range of services for conditions such as Urinary Tract Obstruction, Kidney Stone Treatment, and Nephrectomy (Kidney Removal).
